Wooden Church of St. Nicholas was built in 1795 in Kryvka village. Once in the village in 1927 built currently existing wooden church - the old one by efforts of director of National Museum of Lviv Hilarion Sventsitskyi and metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky and blessed archimandrite Clement Sheptytsky was dismantled and moved to Lviv to Kaiserwald location.

At the new location Wooden Church of St. Nicholas set by masters Tom Dzhuryn and Prokop Demkiv of Tsinev in 1930 where the church was consecrated to Church of Holy Wisdom of Studitska Lavra.

In the spring of 1931 around church yard built wooden fence and small gates. The old iconostasis stayed in the new wooden church in Kryvka and for Church of Holy Wisdom brought iconostasis of Volya-Zhovtanetska church.

In 1966 in Lviv created Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life and Wooden Church of St. Nicholas became its first exhibit. In spring 1990 the church was placed under the patronage of monks of Saint -Ivanivska Lavra.

ON 7th of July 2013 held a celebration of 250th anniversary of the construction of Wooden Church of St. Nicholas.

It is interesting that total length of the church equal to total church height.

The iconostasis dating of the late XVII - early XVIII century.

Today Wooden Church of St. Nicholas is a masterpiece of Bojky style - a symbol of Lviv Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life.
